Prothro,
Wilhelmi & Company believes strongly in community involvement. Providing
support for our communities is essential to our success as a business and as
individuals. Our employees here at Prothro, Wilhelmi & Company spend many
hours each year volunteering throughout their communities in East Texas and
express their individual passions through their work in their respective
communities.
Tom Prothro is a current member of the
City of Tyler Tax Abatement Committee. Tom also serves as an advisory
board member of the University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler.
Tom is a member of the board of directors of First Federal Bank Texas
and serves as the chair of the audit committee. He also serves on the
internal asset review committee, the pension committee and investment
committee.
Walter Wilhelmi
is a charter member of the First Tee of Tyler where he serves as
Treasurer. He currently serves on the City’s “Tyler 21 Comprehensive
Plan” Steering Committee and he chaired the Parks, Lakes & Open Space
working group and served on the Joint Committee for Code Review.
Walter is a member of the board of directors on the Tyler Economic
Development Council and he is a member of the Order of the Rose.
Bob Roseman serves as a deacon at
Green Acres Baptist Church in Tyler and is currently chairman of the
church’s Building Committee. In addition, he serves on the board of
directors for Pine Cove Christian Camps, Inc. and Hospice of East
Texas.
Penny Urwiller is involved with her
church, the United Church of God, East Texas, where she serves as the
Treasurer and works with pre-teens. She is active with the Boy
Scouts of America, Troop 391 and the Girl Scouts of America,
Troop 1945.
Staci Janik is the assistant treasurer
for the United Way of Smith
County. She is also the treasurer for the Whitehouse Women's
Civic League.
Alan Roseman serves on the Board of
Directors for Junior Achievement of Tyler.
Pete Galbraith has taught continuing
education courses at Tyler Junior College and conducts guest lectures
at the University of Texas-Tyler and the East Texas Chapter of
Certified Public Accountants.
Sandy Hamilton is very active in her
church, Martin’s Chapel Church of the Nazarene, currently serving as
Church Treasurer. She also serves as President of a Community Ladies
Group that enjoys gathering for Christian Fellowship.
Kristine Anderson is the Army Family
Readiness Group leader for the Tyler Company, which encompasses the East
Texas area. She helps provide
support, information and resources to military families and deployed
soldiers.
Jessica Jenkins was selected to
participate in
Leadership Tyler, Class 23, for 2009-2010.
